Hi Tweetie,

it is controversial whether to continue metformin or not. Some doctors say yes and some say no. However, it is known to reduce the risk of early miscarriage in women with PCOS. Metformin is also not known to cause problems with the baby, though extra folic acid supplementation is recommended. There are quite a few women here who have used metformin throughout their pregnancy and even breast feeding, while others stopped immediately they found they were pregnant, and others who stopped after the first trimester. I can only recommend that you do your research and then make a decision that you are comfortable with.
