Sonnet my friend! Isn't pregnancy wonderful?! Both my pg's were pre-pcos diagnosis. First one 9 yrs ago, I only gained 9 3/4 #'s. I had an old dr who gave me a special progest blend pill for a couple months into the pg. (this after taking clomid) He was not the least bit concerned of my weight because the baby was very healthy. Second baby, born Dec of 1999. Different dr, and I weighed about 292 pds vs. the 240 the first time. She didn't give me any special pill in the beginning and I ended up losing about 15 pds the first 3-4 months, then gained 23 pds total for the pg. The explanation I was always given was that the baby will get what they need before you get it. It's like an ameba(sp?) sapping the life out it's victim, so to speak. lol The only other difference with the second pg from the first was that I had extreme morning sickness. It was so bad that I had to go in for iv's due to dehydration several times. This ended after I was about 5 months. Both babies were extremely healthy, I didn't end up with g/diabetes, toxemia, or high blood pressure during the pg. All was well except for the issues during the second pg. My sister who weighed about 120 ended up with g/d and toxemia both times. So you never can tell....take care of yourself my friend!
