Althought my 18 year old daughter has been taking 1500 mg of metformin, yasmin, low carbing, and excercising 15 hours per week, she has not lost any weight around her middle...I recently read an article where researchers from Yale have uncovered a link between the stress hormone cortisol and abdominal fat in otherwise slender women. Her reproductive endocrinologist asked if possibly her headaches could be stress related because she has been having headaches about 12 days out of each month. Does anyone have any info on cortisol and pcos? Is there a test my daughter could have done? Thanks, you are all great.
