Re: About to start TTC and wonder what to expect....From: Jeanine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 19 Jan 2003 12:40:19 -0600 (CST)
Dear Heather, I was on Aldactone,BCP, and Metformin. I went off everything except the Metformin in July. I had to wait several months before TTC because the Aldactone can cause defects in male babies. My acne did not come back, but my skin got oilier, and my hair loss increased a little. It had stopped completely on the meds. The good news is that I got pregnant the second month we tried and I am now 7 weeks along. I believe it is because of the Met that I conceived. Previously, I had never ovulated on my own and my periods were irregular. The Met straightened out my cycles. Good luck to you, I hope this helps.
