Thanks for the advice Kristy. I am pretty sure that I'm going to find a new dr. My hubby is not at all impressed with the one that I am seeing. I felt that maybe I was over reacting so decided to have a talk with him. He was at the last two visits with me, thought it would be best to have him there with me for extra moral support, and I am really glad that I did that. He feels that the doctor belittles me. It wasnt untill my hubby spoke up about what I've already done regarding my own treatment that the dr started taking me seriously. I think he figured that I was looking for the miracle pill that would fix everything with out me having to work at anything my self. And that is just not the case. When he learned that I had already lost 60 pounds and started a low carb diet, and sticking to it for longer than a year now... Everything changed. I dont know if that was just because my hubby was pretty upset and sounded it.. or if he finally saw that I wasnt there just to be "fixed". All I know is I hate coming home from a doctor appointment feeling worse than when I went in.

I am on a PPO plan that is actually very wonderful. I dont need to get a referal to see anyone.. which I LOVE! I just dont want to have to go through the testing again since it falls under my deductible. How do I go about getting copies of my lab work? Thats another thing.. the doctor wont tell me my results, just that they are "normal". We had to pry the hemoglobin result out of him.. actually I think we made him so angry with us that he just blurted it out. I simply didnt believe that my results could have been "normal".. but they were.

When I tried to discuss some other things with him I was told "it is not connected with PCOS" "I've seen hundreds and hundreds of women with PCOS, and never heard that complaint" ok come on now! I just wanted to scream. Also with the progesterone that he has me on to force a bleed every 3 months, I told him about my reaction to it (mood swings, depression, headaches) and was told that, again, I was the first person to ever say that. I just cant see how that is possible... since every single reaction I had is listed on the prescription info sheet! He told me that my complaints of being tired, dizzy, and generally not feeling well should be checked out by a PCP. (not connected with PCOS).. Do any of you girls have these things too? the not feeling well and being tired all the time? And am I right in thinking it is connected with my PCOS? I'm still probably going to be checked out by a PCP, just to be on the safe side. I just wish I could find one dr that would take me seriously on all accounts. Even if not connected with my primary condition.

Sorry this post is so long, guess i just needed to vent a little.

Thanks for all the support and advice ValeriGail
