Well I thought I'd just catch up and say to anyone who is still struggling to find a good doc- don't give up- it can still happen. Basically months ago I wrote at length about a terrible appointment with a 'specialist' so I thought I ought to redress the balance and say yes I did see a good one finally. STILL no metformin because I was starting something else, but I think next time- later this month hopefully. Anyway, the doc was willing to help. Did not sit there shooting down all my suggestions like the last one, and not actually making any of his own, actually I did not have to make any suggestions. Also when he was looking through my notes for my test results he was looking at them upside down so I could read them too OK not that professional perhaps - but such a nice gesture- I am actually allowed to see my notes without a struggle- wow! To top it all off, he sent me a copy of the letter he sent my GP after the appointment! Wow! I almost got a little teary!
