Re: helpFrom: Amber (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 4 Jan 2003 05:58:21 -0600 (CST)
I did not experience this AFTER taking Metformin, but I did have those symptoms before. I woke up one day with a wet spot on my t-shirt by my breast. I could also squeeze some drops out. I went to the doctor, the did a P-test, it was neg, so they said to just wait it out. That month I didn't have my period for 54 days, the longest time for me, and when I took a p-test, they all came out negative. I was nauseous, sore breasts, I had to pee all them time, but I wasn't pregnant. The next month when my period didn't come, I took a p-test on the 40th day, and it was positive. I miscarried at 8 weeks, and my doc said it was because my egg was too old. I never figured out why I had those symptoms, but I wanted you to know that someone else had experience them. I have been on Metformin for 4 months. The first few months taking the med, my periods would come 28days, but I would spot the first day, flow like mad the next, with many and large clots, and then I would spot the rest of the week. My period the last two cycles have been like they usually were. I have the cramps in my abdomen when I go to get up. It usually feels like a severe muscle cramp right around where my ovary is, and it goes away after a few minutes. I hope it helps you to know that I have some of the same symptoms. I am sorry that I don't know what they are from though!
