Re: QUESTION PELVIC PAIN-SonnetFrom: Timilee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 31 Dec 2002 21:18:49 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I just came across this today and I find its sad that there arent more doctors out there that know enough about pcos. It took 8 months of bleeding non stop and 6 doctors to first tell me why i have sever pelvic pain, no ovulation constant bleeding and a bunch of other things. I have pcos, which has caused me to gain weight. Non the less, my pain would put me out of commission causing me to miss days at work. I have found in my studies that many woman also have endo. which was my case. first i was put on birth control to help bleeding and to regulate me, then i was put on glucophage. which i was still having BAD pelvic pain. finally my dr suggested to to a laproscopy to see if I had endo and to check my ovaries closely. they found a cyst the size of a grape fruit on my right ovary and endo on my right side. I would suggest anybody who has done everything possible to suggest doing a laproscopy. its an outpatient process and takes three days to recover if that. and I can honestly say with that, diet and excersize im 99% better than i have ever been and was told a month ago, haveing kids looks like something to get ready for. I have tons of info if anybody needs it and places to look. feel free to e-mail me for advice. i've delt with pcos for a long time and have a friend whos had it for even longer. im no professional but im a friendly ear. timilee@puck.nether.net good luck to you all! and Happy new year -Timilee
