Pat,

Yes, it is Provera. I have been on 1500mg of Gluchophage for a year. The periods didn't regulate with it. It was only when I tool the Provera that they did.

Is it safe to take Provera for long periods of time? I would much rather do this so I can have regular periods. I am miserable mood and physical wise when I don't.

Lastly, the doc says we need to figure out how to get to the root of the PCOS issue not just treat the syptopms. Do you know what could be come reasons for PCOS? I mean I had all the blood work done to determine I had it but I never had a sonogram. My OBGYN didn't give me one but my reg doc said we should do one.

Any thoughts?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
