Natural progesterone (Prometrium, see http://www.solvay.com) has been well researched. Its the creams that have no basis in science, that are technically illegal by the FDA, have been pretty consistently considered 'bunk' (as one doctor put it) and I proved that there is billions of $ in herbal medications. See http://nichollsvi.tripod.com/p_cream.html.

<<medroxyprogesterone.>> Is a synthetic progestin. Many folks have side effects and reactions to this. Usually the side effects to natural progesterone are very minimal. Natural progesterone is less researched, but seems to be quite effective. Once natural estrogens were marketed, then natural progesterone has been marketed. Less money to be made from the natural products, and therefore less research. Look carefully at the medications you are taking, and do some research. For example, here is a link for Medroxyprogesterone.
