I have a question about ovulation. They say that you ovulate on day 14 of your cycle normally right?? So does that mean, that on day 14, your ovaries release an egg and it gets fertilized that day? Or did it get released before day 14?Because they tell you to have sex prior to ovulation, every other day. So, if I had sex on day 10, 11, and 13, does that mean I cannot get preg, because we had no sex on day 14? I know they tell you to have sex prior because the sperm need to be in the tube before I ovulate. But how long do they stay in the tube before dying? I mean suppose I didn't ovulate on day 14, but rather day 15 or 16. What are the chances of my egg getting fertilized if I had sex last on day 13. Also, if I get a period, does that really mean I ovulated, or is it possible to bleed without ovulating? How long does it take for sperm to get to where they need to be to fertilize an egg, and how long does it take for the egg to get where it needs to be before it can get fertilized?
