Re: Low Carbing Really Works!

Monique, Personally, I try to keep my carbs under 100 a day. I usually eat around 50-60 a day. If I eat too many, I get very gassy and feel horrible. I know that a lot of people think that amount is too low, but it works for me. I don't eat any sugar, potatoes, corn or refined flours. I try to eat my food as "whole" as possible. I am not real big on vegetables, so that is my downfall. However, I love Spicy V-8, so I sneak it in for some of my veggies. I have lost 30 pounds now ( I weighed today ) and I know my hormones have leveled... my husband can tell... much less mood swings. It was very hard at first. But I am a cold turkey kinda person. I had a headache for three days straight, nothing helped. But when day four came along, I could already tell a difference in the way I felt. I had so much energy! I cleaned my house from top to bottom and if anyone knew me... you would know that is something!! I used to sleep for 12 hours at a time and still wake up tired. Now I can just get my 8 and I am good to go. If anything... just try doing a little at a time. It works differently for every person, so be true to yourself. Hope this helps you! Oh and by the way, the only meds I take are norvasc for high blood pressure.
