Hi everyone. Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Anyways..this is kind of gross, but here goes... I have been on 20mg of Prednisone the past couple of months for high DHEAS (1400 to be exact). All seems to be going great with the medication. I ovulated late in one cycle, then started my period on my own. The very next month I ovulated again (on day 15) and started my period on my own again! WOW! I actually had a "normal" 27 day cycle! The problem is, when I started again (after the normal cycle) I had REALLY REALLY dark thick blood. I had no pre menstrual symptoms like normal (I usually get cramps a couple days before). I just woke up with these HORRIFIC cramps and the dark brown spotting. The spotting got a little heavier (enough for a pad)but stayed REALLY dark. Then, it started to taper off. When it started tapering off, it turned almost black and looked like coffee grounds mixed with white thick CM. Disgusting, I know. Has anyone ever had this? I don't know if I should chalk it up to a regular PCOS period, or call my doctor. Thanks in advance for any advice.
