Re: PCOS show on OPRAH

I think Dr. Phil is annoying. I get so exasperated with him, he's repetitive and ridiculous and has "all the answers". He's as annoying as Dr. Laura for many of the same reasons. It figures he's go off on some poor woman with issues of obesity and infertility and say "why there's no such thing". Whatta jerk. I especially hate it when he has his ridiculous son (who wrote a book! he's an expert!) talk to 'young people' as a role model. Because his son obviously shares so many of their problems.

Anyway, I wrote to Oprah. And I said people are dying from this, undiagnosed, unhelped, unloved, by an unconcerned medical community that abhors obesity and sadness.

I don't have an eating problem, my problem is eating me.

And after over 2 months on low carbs, I am losing weight so slowly it sometimes doesn't register until I take a dump. And I won't be placed on metformin, because I am not, for all intents and purposes, IR. And I walk 28 miles a week and do light weights. They can all bite me. I'm doing what I need to do, but I know not everyone is in my category. So many have it even worse! All you have to do is read the stories here. And there is so much love on this board, even when women get discouraged they still show they care about others. Oprah should read this board, that's an eyeful of reality. My reality, at least.

Dr. Phil went off on someone. Too bad I wasn't there, I'd have lost a pound or two on his shoes for him.

~Amelie, 3 lbs lighter as of 9 AM.
