The adrenal hump / dowagers hump is very different from osteporosis, it is fatty tissue instead of a curve in the actual spine. Think of it as a sort of buffalo hump at the back of the neck. It can be indicative of adrenal problems and so is looked for when a PCOS diagnosis is being made to help rule out Cushing's and other adrenal disorders.
