All, Appreciate your time to listen. Am pretty new to this site and was going through all the discussion forums silently and thought to put my question if any could clear my confusion. I am 27 yrs, my husband 29 and we're desperately trying to be pregnant. I had regular periods all the time but last year had few occassions of irregular periods. It happened thrice in that year that I had periods once in 49 days. Rest of the time I had good 28/29 days cycle. When I contacted the doctor she said everything is fine and my ovaries are not funtioning properly and since I wanted to wait for sometime for conception gave me b.c pills for few months. I was on them for 4 months, had good cycles, stopped them as I wanted to be out of pills for few months before conceiving and had good cycles then too for 2 months. Two months back I had a cycle after 33 days. When it was 39 days after I had this period, I went to the doctor. One important thing is I was on very high stress at work during the last two months and was working for very long hours all the days. The doctor did not give me a chance to say this, tested my urine and said I missed my period as I did not release any egg. Would like to mention that I had noticed a egg yolk like discharge during around 17 days after my last period and I believed I was releasing the egg. doctor did not give me a chance to say this too and prescribed me Glucophage and said with this I should either get periods or get pregnant. I did not get any , its 52 days. I dont feel like am pregnant and we are confused when to have sex based on fertile days? Also I have very few facial hairs and little acne(around 2,3 pimples on face). I did gain 5 pounds in last two months and I was feeling hungry and eating lots too. My question is , do I have PCOS? My doctor asked to come back on 23rd and am going to ask her the same too...Can you tell me why I was prescribed Glucophage at the first place? I read articles on Syndrome O and not sure if I've it. I took the PCOS quis and it reads score at 5.5 and looks like on the lesser end of normal score for people with PCOS. My problem , the most important one is, cannot delay conception any more at all and ready to do anything for it.....Should I ask the doctor to increase my dosage? Scan me for PCOS? Or give another drug? Help me.....Thank you very much
