True... doctors routinely have women supress their periods indefinitely for endometriosis and probably some other problems as well, so presumably it's not harmful. Not bleeding during the off week of a BCP isn't supposed to be harmful... but it can be a little nerve wracking. BUT what I don't get is this... it's supposed to be OK, because the lining isn't building up like it would if you weren't on the pill. But if there isn't a lining building up... how the heck does all that stuff come out during the off week? Or does how much stuff builds up in there depend partly on the pills and partly your own hormones? This is something that's always confused me... FWIW, I bled like a stuck pig on Yasmin. Demulen is the only pill I ever skipped a bleed on. But everyone's different...
