I was diagnosed with PCOS at 17 (I'm now 24) It has gotten progressively worse in the past 3 years. I finally went to a RE as we have been trying to conceive for over 2 years with no success. My DHEAS tested at 1400, and my 17-hydroxyprogesterone tested at 338. My RE did a "dex test" and the DHEAS dropped to 300 and the 17-HP dropped to 138. My RE then put me on 20mg of Prednisone/day and retested my 17-HP last week. It came back at 77 this time. He didn't re test my DHEAS. Anyways...I hyperstimulate VERY easily, and last month I had a pretty severe case of hyperstimulation. (hey, I ovulated on day 34!!!) I was extremely happy that I ovulated and was ready to start a new cycle! I had my period on my own for the 1st time in well over 2 yrs! My RE said my ovaries were still too enlarged and wouldn't prescribe me any clomid for this cycle. I am now on CD14. I have had NO pos. OPK's (lines look close though), my temps dropped yesterday morning. (down to 97.8 from 98.5) they are still kind of low this morning at 98.3 (norm is around 98.5). My fertility monitor shows "high" fertility, but no "peak" yet. This morning I woke up with menstrual like cramps. What is that? I mean, I usually get "ovulation" type pains around the time of what should be ovulation but they are usually in 1 side or the other. These cramps are more in the middle. Could this mean I am fixing to ovulate, or is it just another sign of my screwed up endocrine system. Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to give! I'm desperate here!!!!!
