Have a lipid panel done for all results. Did you do a glucose tolerance test? Insulin resistance will cause elevated cholesterol and triglyserides. I take Advicor which is like Lipator with a Niacin derivative, which will lower these. I'm 48 and from years of misdiagnoses I have high blood pressure, coronary artery blockage. Long term effects of over production of insulin increases the risk of heart attacks, stroke, obesity and diabetes.

Follow a low carb diet and see a doctor that is willing to treat you now. Cheese, nuts, eggs protein and vegs. How's your Mom as this is genetic?
