Hi girls,

Natural Health Magazine December 2002 issue has a brief article on PCOS on page 75. I would like to know what you all think of it. I am wondering if they made a slight mistake. They mention some things that PCOS causes such as acne, amenorrhea, facial hair, thinning hair, infertility, weight gain and.... "elevated insulin levels". Isn't it true that it's the insulin that causes PCOS and not the other way around?

It also says that women with PCOS may have too much estrogen. Hmmm. This is news to me. I thought the estrogen was normal, progesterone low, and testosterone high. ?????

What do you think? Should we bombard the editor with letters about this? I love it when I see information on PCOS to help other misinformed women, but I get discouraged when it's not accurate.

Your thoughts....
