Jodi and SurgeryFrom: Patrice (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 26 Nov 2002 12:40:37 -0800 (PST)
it depends on the surgery. My surgery is permanent. I will have dumping if I eat sugary foods and I won't be able to stll overeat. I am having the Gastro-intestinal Bypass where my stomach is stapled and the small intestine is re-alinged -(sp. ck) with my stomach into a 1 ounce pouch. I will eventually have a 3 to 4 ounce pouch. This woman sounds like she's had other types. With this surgery I won't be able to gain the weight back, though I could run the risk of tearing my staples if I overate. Mostly, I run the risk of undereating. I will have to force myself to eat. But, as I get larger, I notice I have more Pcos symptoms. I was just wondering if it's caused by my weight and if I can reverse it. I hope so. My surgery is for health reasons but this is another reason as well.. we'll see.
