I understand exactly what you are going through. I am a vegetarian for
the same reasons as you are. I have undergone an extensive amount of
research on what is best for the vegetarian way of eating. As you know
carbohydrates are the leading cause to obesity as well as many health
problems. Soy protein is a wounderfull alternative to animal protein.
There are soy burgers, soy bacon, soy cheese, soy milk, soy protein in
powder form in flavors of vanillia, chocolate, strawberry..... the list
goes on. All of which are relativitly high in protein and low in
carbohydrates. These foods can be found at health food stores and some
major grocery stores are now starting to carry alternative animal
proteins.
