Yes, hairloss is associated with PCOS; if you are predisposed to it then PCOS will make it kick in earlier than it would have otherwise probably. But it could have other causes too e.g thyroid, low iron and so on. But lots of 'normal' women seem to have some degree of hairloss, so that's some comfort I suppose. Also I think hereditary hairloss research really really seems to be getting somewhere. I was sceptical at first, but I'm really beginning to think treatments are really going to improve even in the next ten years or so, hopefully in less time. (Well it will have to be in less time, because otherwise I will be pretty bald.)
