I have had the same symptoms since I begain getting my
period at 14 (the sex part came a little later in life).
Anyway... I had a laporoscopy(sp?) when I was 19,
becuase they suspected I had endo... which I guess I
do... they found some adhesions and spots that
suggested endo. I had been being treated for PCOS
prior to that with bcps and spironalactone and the
treatment hasn't changed (though i'm trying to get the
tests done so maybe my doc will put me on met.)... At
the time I was told that surgery was the only way to
get an affirmative diagnosis (I don't know if that has
changed in the past few years) and besides surgery
(they use a laser to remove the adhesions and 'spots')
I don't know of any other treatment really.
So if you are diagnosed with endo... the treatment is
about the same... the only other thing I did was a
round of lupron shots once a month for six months which
stopped my period and therefore stopped the tissue from
growing other than where it is supposed to.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
I'm sorry this is a little off topic... but having both
PCOS and endo is kind of a double whammy... both can
make it difficult to concieve, along with other
unpleasantries.
