Hi Mel,

The symptoms you describe are common of strong pain relievers like Demerol. What are you taking for pain since you came home? Norco, percoset, etc.? These are all strong medications and will cause the vivid dreams, jerking awake and profuse cold sweats. It should go away after you stop the pain meds. I had all these symptoms while on the strong stuff, and for about two days after stopping. It's normal. Maybe you could try ibuprofin for the pain (if the doc approves).

luck, SusieQ
