I have had numerous rounds of Clomid to no avail, so about 1 yr ago, my dr. switched me to pergonal injections followed by a hcg injection. Everything went well, I even ovulated! (couldn't believe that!) About 1 week after receiving my last pergonal injection, my side started hurting around 4:00 in the afternoon. I kind of blew it off. By midnight, I was in excruciating pain. I went to the ER and they told me I was having an appendicitis attack and rushed me to surgery to have my appendix removed. When they got in there, it was not my appendix at all, but rather my 9 1/2 enlarged ovaries!!!!! The surgeon went ahead and removed my appendix anyways, and drained God only knows how much fluid from my ovaries. In conclusion, Pergonal can definately help, but please please please be careful with it!!!!!!!!!! (By the way....even though I ovulated and had sex at the right time, I didn't get pregnant :( Good luck to you!
