well, I have done a full cycle and a week on Yasmin.

I stopped bleeding about 4 days before the sugar pills, started a (very crampy but super light compared to what I'm used to) period 4 days into the sugar pills, and am finished with the first week of my second pack.

1) They are working 2) I'm not feeling bloated, or gaining noticeable weight. In fact, I think I may be slightly thinner. 3) took a break from the low carbs a few times and still didn't notice any significant problems (although I do notice I am soooo gassy if I eat white rice or have some candy or eat anything that isn't considered a really complex carbohydrate, like raw whole foods) 4) Ran into my doctor at a Women's Health Day hosted by Kaiser. Apparently he is the head of gynecology for all of Northern California. And I went up to him and he remembered me even though he hasn't actually seen me in months. I told him about the doctor I cried in front of too. 5) I'm a lot happier, not bleeding; I'd be REALLY happy if my job wasn't about to end. If it's not one stressor, it's another, you know? My job is contracted on a non profit grant, and the grant was underfunded. So I'm stuck here wondering how long the $ will actually last. I decided to take a vacation, all of November, off. Even though I don't have money to travel like I planned, it's a paid month off. Then I'll come back and hopefully be funded, or walk into a new job. The only thing is medical care, and the only thing I'm really worried about is prescriptions. I'm going to call them all in and renew them before December 1. 6) Especially the Yasmin! man oh man. Can I buy it over the internet just in case I have no medical coverage 4 months from now? My COBRA plan is through the roof.

~Amelie who feels better.
