Am I going through perimenopause with PCOS?From: Barb (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 27 Oct 2002 13:03:49 -0600 (CST)
Hi, As all you regulars know my history....(book long story)...but will bring out a couple pointers here to relate to my above question that is driving me crazy. 1)Always had a monthly period even if it was early and sometimes(not often) would have two in a month the last couple years. 2)Was on the herb Dong Quai and it seemed to regulate my clotting. 3) Stopped the Dong Quai..so could this have any baring on my missed period this month?I stopped the herb in July I believe,as I was told it was very stimulating to the adrenals. 4)Had a hormonal work -up done and was told no menopause. 5)When do I see a doctor about this?/and can it be related to stress as my endo said when I spoke to him and he said not to worry, yet I am concerned as I never missed a period. I am not the classic PCOS'er with missed or skipped periods,,,just sometimes would finish a period to find a couple days later I would have a bit of spotting for a day or two, which again I was told was nothing to worry about. 6) If you don't ovulate does that mean you don't get a period?/This question bugs me the most.I feel as if I a either ovulating or about to get a period for the last two weeks already and it is now day 39. Thanks so much ladies.... Neurotic Barb C
-- Sincerely, Barb C.
