HI... NOT SURPRISING. I HAD IT FOR OVER 20 YEARS BEFORE I GOT DIAGNOSED. TALK ABOUT SICK! UGH.

I am in the >process of going to an enodcrynologist for all of the blood work I hear about

GOOD MOVE.

My mother keeps telling me that if my sugar >is playing a part in all of this that I may need to be put on Glucophage to

YOUR MOM IS SOMEWHAT RIGHT. ACTUALLY, IT IS NOT THE SUGAR THAT IS PLAYING A ROLE, BUT INSULIN. BE SURE YOUR NEW DOCTOR CHECKS YOUR "INSULIN"!!!!!

I am very scared now to learn that this medication >is one of the main ways to control this illness because my step mother told

GLUCOPHAGE ITSELF IS NOT A DANGEROUS DRUG. ACTUALLY, IT IS ONE OF THE SAFEST. ON THE OTHER HAND, TOO MUCH INSULIN IN THE BODY DAY AFTER DAY YEAR AFTER YEAR....IS DANGEROUS AND DO A LOT OF HARM.

WELL HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS. IF YOU LET THE PCOS GO, ESPECIALLY THE INSULIN PART, YOU WILL DEFINITELY BECOME EXTREMELY ILL AS YOU GET OLDER. YOUR ENTIRE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM, INCLUDING YOUR LIVER, WILL PROCEED NOT TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY. THE LIVER CAN BEGIN PRODUCING TOO MUCH CHOLESTEROL AND CAUSE HEART DISEASE. YOU WILL INCREASE YOUR RISKS OF OVARIAN AND/OR UTERAN CANCERS. YOUR CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM CAN BE EFFECTED. AND MUCH MORE.

SO...WILL YOU TAKE THE PROPER MEDICATION TO RID YOURSELF OF YOUR CURRENT PCOS SYMTPOMS AS WELL AS WHAT ELSE WILL BE EFFECTED LATER.... OR LET YOURSELF BECOME ILL, DEFINITELY, BASED ON A "WHAT IF". MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP DRIVING A CAR BECAUSE YOU MIGHT GET IN A FATAL ACCIDENT. GET MY DRIFT? I'M NOT BEING SARCASTIC OR TOO BLUNT, JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU THINK CLEARLY. YES, THERE ARE SOME CASES THAT GLUCOPHAGE CAN CAUSE LIVER PROBLEMS. THEY ARE RARE. IT MAY OR MAY NOT HAPPEN TO YOU. BUT IF YOU DON'T HELP YOUR PCOS, YOU WILL DEFINITELY BE SICK AND MISERABLE.

EAT RIGHT, TAKE SUPPLEMENTS, DRINK WATER, EXERCISE, BECOME A REAL DIE-HARD HEALTH NUT. AND TAKE A "SMALL" DOSE OF GLUCOPHAGE.

AND BY THE WAY, THERE ARE A FEW OTHER INSULIN CONTROLLING DRUGS BESIDES GLUCOPHAGE. YOU MAY WANT TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THEM.

LIVE FOR TODAY...WITH CAUTION. WE CANNOT PREDICT THE FUTURE.
