INSULIN RESISTANCE CAN LEAD TO DIABETES FOR SURE IF YOU DO NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. BUT IF YOU DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN ABOUT IT, YOUR RISK FOR DIABETES MAY BE HIGH, BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU WILL NECESSARILY GET IT.

WEIGHT LOSS, AEROBIC EXERCISE, LOW CARB DIETING, SUPPLEMENTS, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, GLUCOPHAGE/METFORMIN LOWER YOUR RISK FOR GETTING DIABETES AND MAY POSSIBLY PREVENT IT. THAT IS MY GOAL TOO!

But did I damage my cells so much >by not treating my IR for five years that I will eventually become

BEING IR FOR 5 YEARS DOES NOT MEAN YOU DID DAMAGE TO YOUR CELLS THAT LEAD TO DIABETES. BUT I WILL TELL YOU THIS. IR FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME DEFINITELY DOES DAMAGE TO THE BODY. EXCESS INSULIN IS DAMAGING. AND IT CAN BE SNEAKY TOO. IT MAY NOT BE SHOWING UP AT ALL ON THE MORNING FASTING BLOOD TEST AND YOU THINK YOU HAVE IT UNDER CONTROL, BUT BEWARE, WHAT GOES ON DURING THE DAY BETWEEN MEALS IS WHERE IT CAN NAIL YA. IT CAN REALLY DO A NUMBER ON THE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM AND LEAD TO PROBLEMS LIKE HIGH CHOLESTEROL, HEART DISEASE, NEUROPATHY, FIBROMYAGLIA, THYROID PROBLEMS, CHRONIC FATIGUE, ETC ETC ETC. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP IT UNDER CONTROL. AND DON'T FEEL BAD IF YOU HAVE TO ADD MEDICATION SUCH AS GLUCOPHAGE TO YOUR DAILY PLAN. IT CAN SAVE YOU FROM MANY PROBLEMS DOWN THE ROAD.

HOPE THIS HELPED. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! >
