Thyroid Question

PCOS goes hand in hand with thryoid on many occasions, so I guess it would not be off topic for me to ask this.

Has anyone been in a situation where their basic thyroid tests come out normal, but it is suspected that the body is not ABSORBING the thryoid hormones efficiently, therefore, creating a false sense of underactive thyroid. I hear this can be quite popular in women with hormone/insulin related fibromyalgia, and a small dose of T3 medication does wonders.

If anyone has had this experience, could you please tell me what type of tests your doctor performed to find this out, and how it was treated?

Thank you.
