Hi, I am not the forum expert but from reading others' posts, I've learned that any fasting insulin level over 10 is considered insulin resistant. Also, I don't have a high fasting insulin, but I have still had health improvements from using glucophage. I had years of reactive hypoglycemia bouts which got worse each year, and after taking it for about seven months I started noticing the bouts getting fewer and farther between, and they keep getting better. I no longer feel like I have to eat every second just to keep from getting them or to keep up my energy. Hope this helps, Jessica
