Edema (Swollen Legs/Feet)From: Randi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 7 Oct 2002 15:05:13 -0500 (CDT)
I suffer from edema in my legs and feet (more on right side than left). I don't know if it's because my periods have completely slowed down (stopped) or what, but it has gotten worse. I try to put them up whenever possible, but to be honest, they start hurting more after a few minutes of them being up and I need to lower them back down. Today, I am feeling more uncomfortable than usual...it affects the top of my feet, toes, calves...very annoying! I don't know what to do anymore. I take Spiro and Lasix (in addition to others) which should do the trick, but it doesn't. I am miserable. I know that if I walk/excercise I might feel better, but walking/excercising hurts, nor do I have the energy...vicious cycle. In addition, I took Provera on 9/10 for 10 days and haven't gotten my period yet. I feel the cramps sometimes, but nothing else. I've only gotten my period ONCE this calendar year and it was after Provera too (in March) and I didn't get it til the end of April either. Any suggestions? I am losing my mind and to be perfectly honest, not that anyone has said this, but I feel like nobody believes me anymore..I am so sad about this sh*t. I can't help but feel that people are thinking, "Oh, boy, not again."
