Does anyone take xanax for their anxiety? Does it uplift you somewhat?Today I was giddy and felt as if I were drunk......I have never been drunk in my life but really...I was totally eurphoric and laughed for about three hours straight...this is unlike me. I suppose this is better,..but I never got this weird before on any med. The pharmacist said it was a good sign that I was not panicking,but if the eurphoric mood continues,to discuss with my doctor.She called me today as she was concerned that I had just ordered more clonazepam last week and all of a sudden the doctor gives me 300 xanax...I suppose she thinks I am stock piling them. I know xanax can interfere with blood sugars and was very concerned about this,but my doctor was not.He said that I needed a break from this and since I tried clonazepam and it made me sleepy,yet very nervous...he tried me on xanax the day before yesterday. I am on 0.25 mgs...two pills three times a day=0.5mgs...then I take four of the little buggers at night to equal 1 mg.So I am taking 2.5??? mgs all together in the course of the day.I know that this is not extreme...but seems a little high for me.I am confused...wish he would have just given me the 0.5 mgs...easier to take.That is ten pills a day in total.So am I correct here...????
