Re: ? about splendaFrom: Tamera (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 5 Oct 2002 15:32:49 -0500 (CDT)
Good idea & good info, Renee. It spurred me to write them a quick note. If enough ppl write them to make the liquid version, they'll see that there's quite the market... here was my msg to them: Hey there, Spenda people :) I've encountered Splenda in several products & find it terrific - none of the icky aftertaste of other sugar replacements & it doesn't adversely affect my bloodsugar levels (I have a syndrome that an estimated 10% of women have, that stems from genetic insulin over-production/resistance). However, in order to buy Splenda itself & use it at home (which I'm itching to do, since other non-sugar sweetners don't cook/bake well, if at all), I'm waiting for the good folks at Splenda to come out w/ a liquid form, as I will not use the kind bulked up with extra carbs like maltodextrin/dextrose. I know factually from the message boards I belong to that there's a big market across the country for the liquid product (we talk, you know), especially as the insulin-resistance & diabetic condition is getting such national exposure, & becoming so much more widespread in the non-genetically pre-disposed population in general. So for now, I wait... hopefully not fruitlessly & forever :) Thanks for listening! Tamera At Fri, 04 Oct 2002, Renee wrote:
