Hi Amelie. I absolutely agree with the other posters - get to an endocrinologist. It sounds like you've been through enough....you need someone who can figure out why you are bleeding, before a "trial and error" treatment approach. I mean, it stands to reason that your hormones are out of whack if you have been bleeding this long, and you need to get to someone who has specific training and experience. Personally, I really like dealing w/ women doctors because I feel like they take me more seriously. My GP (female) ran general blood tests when I first presented to her w/ symptom, and when they came back "normal" she immediately referred me to an endocrinologist, who ran lots of different tests, and paid attention to subtle changes. My endo is also female. (Unfortunately, she isn't in my health plan, so it costs more.) She has SUCH a better understanding of the endocrine system, and about how all of our hormones interact and affect us. She's also a real person. The last time I saw her, she looked at my continuing hairloss and exclaimed "THIS IS TERRIBLE!" I really appreciated that she understood the emotional stuff that I'm going through. Anyway, she put me on met, even though I don't present as I/R. Too soon to tell if it will help. Hang in there, I really think that you can get some help if you keep at the docs. Please keep us posted - I really want to hear how you're doing.
