You'd think that So Cal would have lots of knowledgable docs, given that it's so large with so many med schools. Jeffrey Chang is a repro endo at UCSD, and was the medical director of the last PCOSA conference.

You need a doc who understands PCOS. It can be a physican of any specialty, though people tend to have an easier time finding one from the Repro endo list than the others.

I have a doc in Glendale I like. He's not really knowledgable about PCOS, but he listens to me, and learns from me, supports my low-carb diet, and prescribes me the meds I ask for (after he researches it himself). I'm sure he's much better now, with a new person, than he was years ago, as he's learned a lot. But, I tend to be very proactive with my healthcare, and will tell him what I know and want.
