Hello everyone! I have a question...when i was first diagnosed with PCOS i was put on glucophase and gradually increased it's mgs until i was at 2500mg. well, it made me sick, i mean miserable. i missed so much work and when i was at work i had to run to the bathroom and puke all the time. i couldn't eat because when i did, it shot out of my behind like there was no digestive process! even if i ate carrots and celery. it was absolutely rediculus. my doc then tried me on the ER in hopes of reducing the side effects. No such luck. so then we decided on avandia. i was scared at first because i have to get my liver tested every month but it was better than puking everyday. well avandia has done wonders for my pcos wioth no side effects. i am considered "normal" and got the go ahead to start trying to have children. well, the problem is, the avandia has caused me to gain weight. yeah like i need that! It is getting out of control. i have to lose weight and i am doing everything i can. i excersize everyday, i eat very little carbs, heck, i eat very little! i just dont understand where the weight is coming from...my thyroid is finally "normal". so i was wondering if now that my body is "normal" should i try and go back on the glucophase? is there anyone out there that can help me? i would greatly appreciate your comments and suggestions. thanks! Amy
