Re: Article on PCOS gene defectsFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 12 Sep 2002 22:42:31 -0700 (PDT)
Victoria, I have a question for you. Only b/c I'm confused. What if no one in your family has PCOS and you are the only one that does and it's caused by something else? The reason I ask this is b/c I'm in such a situation. The only thing that runs in my family (which took time to find out but only after I started talking to my half sister) is the Endometriosis and that's it. The reason too for asking this is have any studies been done to check for other causes such as someone having taken ACTH shots when they were babies? This was the case with me 30 years ago even though I didn't get diagnosed until I was 25. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
