Too Many problems?!?! Help!From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 6 Sep 2002 10:07:03 -0500 (CDT)
I have been diagnosed with PCOS, and IR. Now, I have an enlarged thyroid, but with normal blood tests. My doctor thinks it might be thyroiditis (Hashimoto's) Is this common? DOes anyone else have all three. Is there a connection between the thyroid problems and the PCOS? I'm starting to worry that maybe we are treating all the problems resulting from some bigger problem still not diagnosed. What are the chances of still being able to have children with all these conditions? How long does it take for the hirsituism to go away after being on GLucophage? I have been on for about 6 months. I have lost 25 pounds without dieting, and have had regular periods since the second month. My hormone levels are all normal and I feel great! The best I have felt in 8 years (the onset) Thanks for you help!
