Re: Can you have kids if you have PCOSFrom: Teresa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 31 Aug 2002 13:40:00 -0500 (CDT)
I have had PCOS for about 5 years now, probably more, but just been diagnosed 5 yrs ago. I think that I was able to catch it soon enough to where I went on meds right away. I was seeing an eeeeexcellent doctor/endo. He knew exactly what to do, what to give me and then for about 2 years my only visits where to check my labs and tell me, yep, you are doing fine. Of course it could be that my case is not as bad as others. I had a miscarriage 11/99 after not even trying to get PG. Then when I realized how "able" I was we tried again in 2/00 and ended up conceiving 4/00. But I am prepared that I might not be that lucky again. Sometimes, I feel very guilty for having it and not having many bad symptoms though. I see the struggles of so many other people. Sure, I have my own battles as you will see in some of my other posts. However, I just realize everyone is different in this. Very different. Hope that helps or at least gives you hope.
