First do you have access to an endocrinologist or reproductive endocrinologist? I'd base my further answers on that. There are several places, including the archives here, on test lists for PCOS.

I have been very interested to read all the mail posted on this site and I would be grateful for any advice on pcos. My duaghter is 17 and still has a very unpredictable menstral cycle. She also has acne on her face and back facial hair and is about 50 lbs overweight. I also have the further difficulty that she is mentally handicapped. Please someone advise me how I should go around finding out if she has pcos as what I have read about this would point me in this direction.
