Oh how cruel the world can be! I guess when it really comes down to it, no one can really make us feel better except ourselves. Please be kind to yourself, since things are so rough in the outside world (intentionally or not). This is not your fault and no matter what anyone says or thinks, give yourself a big hug and give yourself permission to feel sad. Not only do you have a major loss to grieve for, but you have all the PCOS infertility issues to deal with as well, and that is a lot for anyone. NO one can make you feel better, because no one will ever understand - it is not because they are callous, or cruel - it is simply because no one ever understands the pain of another, let alone hardly remember how it felt to have their own pain. It is also hard to find another human being that is able to comfort us in the way we need comforted, but it is not because we are not loved, it is only because we all have our own ways of working through pain. As much as it hurts that those closest to you do not seem to understand - you will only get hurt further if you look to them for comfort. You simply must comfort yourself in the kindest way possible. It is safest to look for comfort from those who have been in the same situation. Perhaps people that haven't been in the same place don't really know how to respond, and therefore could end up hurting you worse. I so hope you heal quickly and find the strength to keep this from hurting your spirit and hope too deeply.

I became pregnant after 4 months on Atkins - so it can happen and you are so on the road to getting there. There are plenty other options as well and also ways to prevent miscarriages if your dr. is aware that you are at high risk. You need to find a dr. that is willing to try everthing to help you from this happening again. Clomid is not the ONLY answer. Although eventually it might have to be an option. But the good news is that you at least have a last resort. I would highly recommend that you do not go off Atkins during this time if you want to try again. My endo said it usually doesn't work as well the second time around - and it did nothing to relieve ANY of my symtoms after I went on it after the pregnancy (but cleared up almost EVERY symptom the first time around). I don't know why this is so, or if it is true for everyone, but please try to stick with it, since it seems to be working so well. Although Atkins didn't work second time around, Glucophage has done wonders and literally changed my life. It can also help with pregnancy because you can stay on it during pregnancy (if you and your dr. choose) whereas you should really go off of Atkins as soon as you find out you are pregnant. (or at least stay out of deep ketosis) I don't know if going off of Atkins abrubtly could change your body chemistry enough to make a miscarriage more likely - but it's something to think about.

Well, I guess my whole point of this post is to just remind you that although the world can be a cruel place ( I can't even BELIEVE the dr.'s office and your mother-in-law!!!! CRAZY! Absolutely appalling.) you can find a bit of the love and understanding you need inside yourself - You must, as you will unlikely find it elsewhere that has any meaning. And you have been been given such a blow that it would be unfair to take more blows by looking to people who obviously have not been given the gift of compassion.
