Hi, I had previously been taking dianette for the last 18 months and am now getting ready to switc to Marvelon. My Dr discussed my last period and said that I can start taking the tablets today, and that I will be protected after 7 days. But the package instructions say I must wait until the first day of my next period. I took my last active Dianette pill on Friday, the 16th. I had bleeding the 22-25th. I was scheduled to start taking the active pills on Friday the 23rd, but knew I was going to change pills so I waited. According to marvelon, I have to wait until My next period. According to my DR, I can start taking them now(mid cycle)? (Is that ok?) I am married, but do not want children, and need to know when to start taking the marvelon, and when I will be protected....
