Re: Cholesterol/For ReneeFrom: Barb (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Aug 2002 12:46:36 -0500 (CDT)
Thanks Renne! Will this glucophage actually help with lowering my cholesterol levels? Just want to be as informed as I can be and also want to know if it will help with the BP problems. I haven't been on it long enough to notice any difference in my health, although the palpitations after eating are getting lesser. I've been keeping a diary of foods and heartbeat after meals(that's when the heart races),and I do see a pattern with even a small amount of a sugary food although I cut out so many treats. I definitely know that this is somehow related to my insulin for sure. I had a half of a bananna and wow...my heart started to do it's thing again. It is so hard trying to find what I can and cannot eat. Also, when I do eat a larger meal(I eat small meals all day),I feel worse. Does this sound like there is a pattern to you? I have coffee without milk and no problem.I had coffee with a bit of milk and sugar and wham,,heart palps. I'm doing my own trials with foods and I never, ever imagined how the carbohydrates effect my body.
