from what i understand the average age for the onset of puberty is 11. so, onset at 6 (when the pubic hair started to come in) is quite abnormal. that was why i was sent to a growth clinic. but, they couldn't find anything wrong with me. (even though they put me through some really hellish tests, and took pictures of me naked from every position imaginable-what does that do to an 8 year old?)

i'm asking because of an interview i read about a doctor who is studying the links between genetics, early onset of puberty, and pcos.
