Hi,

I second Sonnet's comments. Metformin can take a while to work and you may need to experiment with the dosage. Try going off the pill for a while, at least that will let you know what your periods are really doing. If possible combine the metformin with a lower carb diet (restrict refined carbs etc.) and exercise. Be persistent.

Did your doctor also do screening
