Hello, I started shedding my hair about 2 1/2 months ago.I've gone from dermatologist to dermatologist for someone to take me seriously. I can't believe how many derm's are completely daft on this subject. I've finally found someone who has taken me seriously but due to me having to take matter's in my own hands have wasted alot of time and now alot of hair.

I've just recently found out through blood tests that my iron was incredibly low and so am taking that with vit c. Then through other blood tests determined that my hormone level (testosterone) were at 20.4 which are apparently pretty bad.My doc told me that i had to be tested for PCOD and I just had my ultrasounds. The clinic wouldn't tell me what the results were but i managed to find out that it's not my ovaries but my adrenals were'suspicious'. I'll find out this week.

I was prescribed minoxidil (5%) but am leary of taking it because i've heard i shouldn't take it due to this being a hormone problem.

...has anyone lost a great deal of hair? if so what did you take and will I get my hair back??

..i'm getting pretty depressed about this, I'm losing roughly 200+ hairs a day and am getting sick of wiping hair off my arms and face.
