Hi Kate,

PCOS is a whole set of symptoms and not everyone has all of those symptoms. It just depends how your body responds to the excess hormones. You will not necessarily have hair loss, or if you do it may not be noticeable.

Regarding your previous question. PCOS comes first. When you have insulin resistance, your body is much easier to gain weight. THen, the more wieght you gain the more the hormones become imbalanced, the more insulin resistant you become and the harder it becomes to lose wieght. Vicious circle. Your weight is not your fault (though of course you have some control) but rather for you to lose weight you probably need to try very much harder than someone who does not have PCOS.
