8 weeks pregnant and need help!! What tests need to be done? From: Brighid (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 24 Aug 2002 17:27:10 -0500 (CDT)
I am looking to help my daughter age (23) gather as much information as possible reguarding PCOS and pregnancy. She is 8 weeks pregnant. She has been to her OBGYN and they act like PCOS is no big deal and haven't really provided her with any info. All the women in my family have PCOS. I am 44 and have suffered for years. She was on Met. but stopped over a year ago.Met corrected her periods and they remained regular up until her date of conception. What I am looking for is a good Dr in the Tacoma/ Seattle area who is familiar with PCOS. What questions we should be asking the Drs. and if she needs to have her hormone levels monitored and if so, what are we to ask for?. How far into the pregnancy are we to be on pins and needles? Please help. Oh, we asked for hormone monitoring but they said she had no miscarriage history.Of course she hasn't, this is her first pregnancy! I had 6 miscarriages in my medical history. What to do next? Warmly, Concerned Mom
